Accessorising the Home with Sheepskin Rugs

A house is not a home until we make it one. There is loads we can do to improve the quality of the home we live in, from new curtains through to crystal chandeliers (Kristalllüster) . Many people choose to accessorise the home with furnishings such as sheepskin rugs and fancy cushions, where as others choose to have the more minimalistic look to the home.

It is important to remember that your home should be based on you, so for instance, you should not design a home based on other peoples ideas, it should be a mark of your personality, however, if you are struggling with exactly what you can do with the home, then here are a few ideas:

The Asian Theme

Why not do something a little different by having a modern lounge with an Asian twist. The colour scheme is made up of aubergine, rich brown and a yellow sort of design. Gold is also used within the décor, to give it that truly authentic look.

Chocolate Theme

Why not try a design which is full in flavour. By using a mix of wood designs and dark floor boards you can truly get a great feel and have a room which not only looks fantastic but also feels cosy.

Go for the medieval look

As there are so many different looks that you can go for, then why not step away from the contemporary sort of design and go for a more medieval sort of style which are influenced by the Celtic and Gothics.

If you do have a space which is contemporary and plan and needs livening up, then you could always try to use soft furnishings instead of going for a dramatic paint job. Brightly coloured curtains and cushions can go along way when it comes to brightening up a plain space. Whatever theme you choose make sure that it is unique to your style. Don’t try to please someone else.
